@Sevengill -I still enjoy that song in particular, even though it could be clearer, yes. One of my absolute favs with Dulcinea and Garden here. But imagine those and the rest of this with the production value of Panopticon...

@Mongi -I don't either. But like many things, you often have something you prefer to something else.

@Dis - I'm not sure it would work with that production, actually. This has more a more intricate sound, with synthesizer swells and atmospheric background that would be too stark and separate from the rest of the mix without the softer production.

I think you might be right in that regard. Many intricacies and layers would benefit from a warmer or softer mix. 'Cause yes, otherwise it'd probably end up too harsh or sharp. But still... :D

How I'd rank their albums in terms of production - most well-rounded and best sounding:

1. Panopticon

2. Oceanic

3. Wavering

4. Celestial

5. Absence

Garden of Light outro is one of this band's greatest achievements, the final two chords are such a nice ending to the album.

Quite frankly, there's only two Isis'! The band and the goddess. The terrorist group has a long name attached to the abbreviated ISIS so if people would only do a couple little searches then it wouldn't be a problem! But nope.

Don't forget the 34 businesses that had to change their names. NPR did a special on it earlier this year.
