There are definitely certain bands the site tends to gravitate towards, but DGD wasn't one until this album tbh.

i know but i cant get the hype considering how cringeworthy the whinny lyrics are. Maybe sput is just filled with lonely men dreaming of teenage love

Yeah dgd albums always get a fair bit of attention as soon as they come out and as you can see, none of their records have a shit average

True on everyone's part.Dance Gavin Dance has always tried not to be average, and everyone can see that, and mostly some say it's dumb, what they did with that approach, and they should stick to sounding like that instead, but in the end. We like, what we like.

the fact this is rated higher than secret band is proof sput has a tendency to be a little pathetic

so basically "stop liking what I don't like"

"dbm is completely unmemoryble besides maybe 3 really good tracks, everything after that was better"

also yeah I liked DBM when I first listened to it but it's not as good as most of their other albums tbh

This is crazy, thought this was gonna be a POS after how disappointing their previous effort was. To my surprise its sounding really good so far.

Death of a Strawberry is good but no way is it their best song. That's Lemon Meringue Tie. OR Surprise! I'm From Cuba Everyone Has One Brain. Variation is actually edging into the top for me though.

"Surprise! I'm From Cuba, Everyone Has One Brain." is the best song title ever.

Also one of DGD's best songs.

I mean, most lyrics are cringeworthy. By pretty much everyone.

Yeah most singers arent poets. I have a fairly low standard for liking lyrics; it's nice when theyre mindblowing and terrible when theyre REALLY cringy but otherwise its just nice that theyre there for me

Nah. Plenty of extreme metal has shit lyrics but as long as it's delivered well I don't really care.

Most of the time.
