I'm halfway through this right now and it's just not clicking for me. it feels almost lifeless, like theres no passion to it. granted i still have to listen to Funeral so I'm not going to totally write them off but yeah. kinda meh. Honestly the most beautiful parts are the non-metal sections.

Funeral has a much more amateurish sound bc it was basically bedroom bm. I think people liked it but I cannot for the life of me fathom why.

yeah there is. Atmo BM. this aint atmo by a long shot. if it's black metal and it's not meant to sound like a gorgeous symphony than it should be lo-fi and distorted. doesnt sound right otherwise.

there's good lo-fi raw and then there's crappy bedroom bm with an awful programmed drum sound and a guitar tone that makes me wanna stab out my eardrums. :3
