Ohohohoho! A new hip-hop authority on SPutnik!
Screw all of you, I'm leaving this site. The hip-hop community on here is so freaking exhausting, I can't deal with this shit anymore.

@bakermarteen: I was trying to break off from the usual openings of what I've been conceiving in the past, which has been honestly terrible except lately especially in my Fashawn where I've improved. You got any other things to note from my review, and I agree man it ain't impossible to write a comprehensive review despite the short time-frame. That was exactly what I was trying to convey and do here.
Edit: not in the first few seconds of course haha, i've been jamming nonstop since it released and i honestly still feel the same about what i've written originally.

Depends. Does the hip-hop community like Death Grips?

See that doesn't bother me, cause you know, as much as we like to think we are professional music critics, we aren't.
I think its 5, call the music police.

Wait Guys' I listened to the first three seconds of an 1 1/2 hour album and I can determine the quality of the product as a whole. It's because I listened to a lot of other music of this genre in my teenage years.
@ Reviewer: I'm not putting you in one hat with that line of thought, just so we're clear. I still think a review 12 hours after the album dropped is pretty silly though.

You'll find three of these techniques. I could give many more albums low ratings, but the fact is that I hardly do that as I don't think it makes sense to even account albums I don't particularly like. But my objectivity rating was started to concern me so this is one of those unfortunate victims. Fact of the matter is I probably don't like much hip hop as a whole. Is my rating therefore invalid?

I wasn't talking to you, but guitarded chunk, but the thread goes so fast right now, that I should have made that clear.
No your opinion is not invalid, but you claimed that you could determine the quality of an album after hearing 1% of it, that is a joke.

Go to the movies.... film begins with boring 3 mins of dialogue.... leave movie theater, conclusion: movie is terrible.

Can I just say I appreciate the way too early reviews? It gives us a relevant form of discussion to discuss the album at hand.

Okay I exxagerated a little bit. I can rapidly determine the quality of albums in the following genres: emo, slowcore, post-rock, lo-fi, ambient and probably indie rock in general. What I could tell about this album after 5 minutes was that I would regret listening all the way through and never want to listen again.
And I was right =)

Yeah I'm miles ahead of you. Average score is now 4.6 but will probably be 4.2 within a week.

Listening to this right now.
Quick note, it's Bilal who sings on 'Institutionalized' - you've spelt his name wrong. I also agree with @HalfManHalfAmazing's sentiments on 'The Blacker the Berry'.
The first paragraph of the review sits a bit uncomfortably with me. I know what you're getting at but I think you exaggerate his rise on the back of GKMC. Section.80 pretty much put him on a upward trajectory.

I still think that this is just another way of saying that you make up your mind very quick and then make the rest of an album fit your initial impression no matter what, but fine, opinions and stuff. Sorry for lashing out at you.

@RadicalEd: Well, I wasn't trying to cause any ruckus over that man. Totally unintentional. I've been slowly writing this prior to last night and then it came out so I thought 'why not?', I decided to just blast this album and as I went write and write. I knew possibly that I'd get the complaint over the 'rushing' bit so I was working pretty hard to ensure I didn't get that issue to arise. I guess I failed there, but I'd like to ask your input on my piece to see what I could've done wrong to get that to fuel up.
