Never listened to Periphery before, but based on my perceived notion of Sputnik's opinion of them here, assumed the average for this would be below 3. Not that it matters in anyway. Always amusing to see any news item with these guys featured get ripped to shreds.

yea the fanbase is basically the same as btbams at this point

Periphery is bland and compressed to shit. If
any redeeming musical qualities were to be had
its utterly compromised by the lack of any
quality mixing and producing methods. That
coupled with the fact that the whole djent
scene is completely derivative of Meshuggah and
has barely set a standard after them should
speak for itself. As a self proclaimed lover of
Animals as Leaders, which obviously tear this
band to pieces, I realize that Tosin and Misha
are close and work together however it doesn't
deter from the fact that this bands career has
been teeter tottering ever since that d bag
Spencer came on band. The worst thing to happen
to this band was him (seen them live and he's
an absolute dick head onstage). In short fuck
this band their in the hipster ranks of pseudo
metal just like that fucking Deafheaven band,
who I despise even more. What is happening to
metal
