YES Tousei is great, I was just listening to it on my drive to work and wondering why more people haven't mentioned it on here.

This drags in ways Dum Spiro Spero didn't, some tracks would have been better suited as lengthy "opuses" or cut altogether.

Somewhat disappointed in the directional change, and though it's nice to have another album by the group I can't say it stands strong on the first listen.

It's quite a grower dude, the track listing can feel a little awkward at first but it begins to make more sense upon repeated listens.

I've never come across an DEG album yet that has you love it straight away. Replay is always a must with these guys.

The only Dir en Grey album I feel is weaker than others is Vulgar, but even that's a really good release. Child Prey, The IIID Empire, and Drain Away are pretty much my favs off that.

Growls as well, by far the best thing this band has to offer.

Oh yeah I don't disagree that his range is incredible, but personally I think his style is obnoxious.

"His clean singing is what really ruins it for me because I feel like I'm listening to some melodramatic anime soundtrack"

If you think that for Kyo (which to my mind is baffling), then you should listen to bands like Nightmare and the Gazette. Kinda cringeworthy.

I can stand bizarre vocal styles like Lifelover, but this is just a bit too spastic for me.

His cleans on the Rinkaku chorus are just pure bliss.

This was a lot better the second time around, they've always been a great band to walk and listen to.

@Crysis

Yeah I knew that for the most part, DEG instrumentally probably doesn't match your palette
