De-Loused is definitely better than this, but that's the only Volta I've tried so...

I like Circa Survive a lot more than TMV, it's a far less convoluted and way more consistent band (And I love prog-rock and think De-Loused is a classic).

i love the title track. it's end is climactic, although unfortunately short lived as opposed to the 5 or so minute buildup before it. Still, when its good, it's really really good, so I'm more than fine with how it turned out.

In fact, if that build was less repetitive/more interesting/shorter it would probably be my favorite Circa song.

What I love about that song is the small details that keep popping up on the apparently repetitive section,

but yeah, I'd probably trim the last minute or so, nontheless,it doesn't bother me that much the way it is.

I agree, but I can't deny that it could have been even better

I'm still trying to find out what's the problem that some have with Sovereign Circles; it has great vocals,

intricate guitar playing, and an off tempo/interesting drum pattern.

I thought Sovereign Circles sounded cool. Just gave this another listen and I'm digging it hard, still gotta spin it a few more times though. May be a favorite for the year.

Sovereign circles is probably the most interesting song of the album, still unsure if this album is really worth it
