I wish I could enjoy this but the relentlessness is too relentless. It feels as if a tank was running over me, crushing every single bone of my body and pushing my organs upwards, forcing my eyes to pop out of their sockets followed by my brain while I'm puking my heart, lungs and intestines.

:p

I thought the vocals were decent, or at least they suited the music before. Very tough guy sounding. But here, he sounds like a different vocalist.

Ebola, I am assuming that 5 is genuine? Very interesting opinion.

I think if they didn't have The Oncoming Storm this would be their best. Some of their absolute best work here, and easily their heaviest album. "Never Cease" is fucking sick - those verse riffs make my pants fit funny.

I'm a bit worried that the dude from Acacia has reportedly helped buzz and ken with writing. like....those dudes do not need help writing sick riffs, man.

Went through this thread and you know what

I saw zero appreciation for the fucking GoaT bonus track that is Throes of Remission

Like god damn, this song is basically what all melodeath-forward metalcore wishes it could be

Thats what Buzz said, he feels like everything they write sounds the same.

Like dude, Unearth is the Slayer of metalcore, keep doing what you do.

Their last several albums have sounded quite different. For example their last one had no cleans, and the one before had tons of them. They're pretty far from the Slayer of metalcore. What does that even mean, you know that Slayer had a prominent nu-metal period and their quality has tanked for over a decade?

"august burns red and unearth are masters of the breakdown. every other metalcore band should stop trying to use them."

Lol have you ever listened to Messengers? That album is legitimately hard to sit through because they use the same mind numbing breakdown over and over with Matt spamming the china cymbal. Replying to a 2 year old comment ftw

I mean they've come pretty damn far since Messengers, to be fair. They mastered that style with Constellations.
