Never listened to him before but the new one seems to be getting pretty good reception, might check even though there are already too many releases today.

New one treads a line between bewitching and bullshit. There is definitely something ‘different’ about it though. I have a feeling that it might be a bit special.

Realised when his new one came out that I'd never gotten around to jamming this one. Almost finished my first run through (just finished End Of The Affair) and this album is phenomenal god damn

It is! Check the live version on Jools, the way he screams to the guitar is heart wrenching.

New one is very calm, spacey, dark, I still prefer this one though.

never checked this cat before, but based on the evidence of the new one he sings an awful lot like Jose Gonzalez.

Now Jose Gonzalez always had the voice of an angel trapped in the head of a boring as hell song writer.

So this could all work out nicely. Or it could just sound like Jose Gonzalez inspired wallpaper. Not sure yet...

Listened today, it has something - Arthur Russell meets Jose Gonzalez and something else real addictive in the mix too

I think it's the hardest to digest but it will probably be the more rewarding passed that twilight.

You gonna throw a write up for it Doof?

Dewi, I’d need to listen to the discog and do the research...plus I’m almost guaranteed to cover the new Stuart Staples (lead singer of Tindersticks) and the Evil Blizzard (they’re my ‘comedy band’ boys). Prob best someone else cover it.

Two more reviews and I’m up to my target of 100 - I might either take a break from reviewing then or start reviewing from a new account. I think people want to vent against my low scoring reviews...so I’ll let them neg. Will tickle me silly.

Hahaha, what's your new account if such thing can be answered in this treacherous space...
