It's weird how an album like this doesn't depress me that much haha but I will say that when listening to those keyboards in Make It Right, it really makes me think "wow I've felt exactly like this before." Ironically it makes me feel enlightened that I don't anymore. It's a vibe that's really wistful and profound. This is one of those albums I can just continuously dissect with every listen and still find new shit.

Tbh this one doesn't depress me at all compared to A4. Actually when I first listened to this album my first impression was that it was much more optimistic compared to its predecessor.

Indeed it is. It has an atmosphere that they have yet to top.

This has little to no cheese though it's so genuine and real. Like the broken way he exclaims "I wish you could have stayed!" In One Last Goodbye for one example.

All their records are intended to be genuine, but this one definitely excels at it.

Yea. Whether it be yourself or a close friend, if you've had any experiences with depression, this speaks to you even more. It's the complete lack of bull shit that really moves me on here

I feel the lack of bs is more obvious on Alt4 since it's a tad abrasive compared to this. That one's a bit more personal to me too.

See I don't get that with A4. That one feels more angry and frustrated as opposed to this which is literally what it feels like. Still an amazing record though I love it.

2000 & Gone is such a satisfying and much needed ending to this one. It's like a sigh of relief.

Are the recent remasters of their 1999-2004 stuff any good?
