I don't see what the problem with mixing influence from a couple of bands would be as opposed to like, JUST King Crimson
and is it not true that they could have influence from Tull without having a flute solo/making an album like Songs from the Wood? hmm??
Yes I agree with all of that.
I was just saying if the Tull influences were as poorly done as they were in Famine they wouldn't make me like this more and I was saying that in a way that would wind up Pleb.

Seriously though is it really that stupid to think that stronger influences from your favourite band wouldn't necessarily make a particular album better? I mean who's to say they would be well executed if the band's previous attempt at incorporating them was such a failure.
