The only thing I don't like about seeing Thrice play live towards the end of their band life is that the bassist takes on some screaming roles live, and he does not sound near as good as Dustin does.

Millstone follows Sowing Season perfectly. First several times I heard the album I thought it was one long, blended track.

agreed they were on a big shuffled playlist i had goin recently and hearing one or the other in isolation is kinda jarring without that buttery transition

Buttery is my new fave adjective
@Ec I actually like Riley (I think?)'s screams but of course he's not as good as Dustin but hey Dustin can't do it all live imagine him doing the Earth Will Shake by himself lol
Check out that DVD I mentioned if you haven't though

It was a great way to end it. I've been told they end on You Won't Know on a pretty regular basis. Jesse's harsh vox sound awesome live, but they don't talk much. They pretty much just played for an hour and a half straight with very minimal time between songs.
I really wanted them to play Jaws Theme Swimming (which my friends told me was very unlikely), but Millstone was totally an acceptable substitute. They didn't really play any of my favorites from Deja, tho. That was a bit of a bummer, but I was just glad to see them live finally. It felt long overdue.

for sure man
honestly i'm happy for em to just get on with it and play the tunes unless there's some sweet banter goin on which not every artist can do

I love when BN opens with Vices/Gasoline/Sink. They blow the roof off the place before they even get started.

Oh, I've got the House of Blues, Rowwy. I think I have just about everything they have released as a physical copy.
I think Riley is the drummer... The bassist is his brother (Eddie, maybe?). Either way, some of the stuff I have seen him do back up on, I just wasn't a fan of. Teppei, tho, has got some surprisingly good pipes on him. Of course he can play guitar like that and still sound spot on live, while he is doing lead shit.

Yeah, BN did Sink first. They also played Gasoline, which was fantastic.

Sink would be so good that song has an ungodly boss chorus
Yeah I think Eddie is right and honestly his voice is great, just listen to Red Telephone, he absolutely nails the SOMEONE TELL ME THAT I'M DREAMIIIING
dunno about Teppei's voice to be honest haven't heard it

I was at a show where they literally opened this way: Vices, Gasoline, You Stole, Limousine. Shit man.

Usually, he just does harmony with Dustin, but I watched a video where he and Dustin were trading off for a little bit, and he sounded great.
I can't remember which song it was, tho...

I don't even remember most of the rest of that show. I assume I just blacked out from excitement.

I wish I would have gone to more live shows when I was younger.
My knees were killing me at that Brand New concert, ha ha.

I haven't been to one in a while though. And most of my amazing live experiences are all the same (Brand New and bands like them). I should branch out more, but probably won't because I'm an old man now.
