Well My Damnation is too short in the same way that this is too long and a lot of the songs on MD just zoom by too quick for me to remember.

but MD is 10 tracks, 38 minutes long, with an average song time of 3 mins 30 seconds.
aka like perfect

Is it really that long? I remember it always feeling really short for some reason.
Hell maybe I need to revisit it.
Too bad I haven't heard them write a song as awesome as Elysium again.

Elysium is the highlight of Eden, album needed all the help it could get.

My Damnation didn't do a whole lot for me if I'm honest.

Playing With Fire gets me windmilling but the lyrics across the album, and the band's career suck

sorry but that is just objectively not true and here is why
So fuck your role models
And fuck the scene too
I hate your morals,
I hate everything about you
Fuck your money
And fuck your music too
I hate your message
And pretending that I like you
Stop your bullshit
Shut your mouth
You’re overrated and foul
Fuck you, fuck you
I’ll fight your dad
And fuck your mother too
I hate your message
And pretending that I like you

Disagreed. MD's lyrics are for the most part 'decent', and held a concept - although still generic.
How could I forget this gem from Ashes to Ashes:
I stare from my window looking outside
Sometimes I wanna just die
That's just from a lyrical songwriting standpoint too, Ashes to Ashes instrumentally is just one guitar chugging while the other (Jason's) noodles away followed by those annoying ass muted staccato breakdowns.
While MD has no shortage of chugs, it at least throws in some interesting leads and the occasional riff

I'm listening to MD now and it is pretty sweet. Might bump it up but I'd say Ashes is still on about the same level as it for me.
There are definitely a few decent riffs on Ashes.

MD has nostalgia for me while this is pretty much equally great in places and horribly annoying other times, both are far from perfect and about on par with each other.
