I like how they used her cleans for atmosphere, rather than just as a means to a power chorus. They should do that more. Not everyone needs to sound like Soilwork/In Flames.

Only Arch Enemy I've ever heard. Initially hated it but it grew a little on me after a while. Probs a low 3 for me.

this is an affront to death metal music. This is cookie cutter, no effort melodeath. At least the album before this tried to be interesting--despite failing completely--whilst this only plays it safe the entire time and its greatest achievement is solely its inoffensiveness. If they don't mix it up more on their next album they will have completely destroyed what little fanboy I had left for them.
and RYM has a lot of stupid opinions on music, too. It's easy to troll rate and inflate stuff when nobody can call you idiot for it, unlike on here (most of the time).

I've met a fair few people who like this album, and I've been to quite a few concerts with people wearing 'War Eternal' tshirts. This just does nothing for me.
