Smaugman - I can understand that sentiment. The approach to the epics are definitely different here. The longer songs are more like hypnotic trips than multi-part journeys. I like both styles, don't get me wrong. However, I'd argue the repetitive, psychedelic approach to the long-form tracks better suit this album's hallucingenic atmosphere.

Like I'm not interested in songs that don't do anything special. Providence, devil's triangle and moonchild, those three are boring because nothing ever happens

I can certainly agree with you on the tracks you listed. Moonchild starts off great, but I wish the rest of the song had developed differently. A pretty big let down on an awesome record.

I just don't think this band was all that great at psychedelic/spack rock with the exception of The Sky Moves Sideways... and possibly Signify, although that album was more transitional. This is just bland.
