Dear god, I just went back and read some of the stuff Steerpike had to say... wow.
As for the band I pretty much agree with Steerpike, though I can't get a point acroos as well as he can.

i've done pinch harmonics a couple times by accident, i can't seem to perfect it though. i also can't figure out how to work my whammy bar. anyway, i have said before that i just see Atreyu as a good band, i don't see them as a rebellious, edgy, counterculture, ect... i just like the music. the guitars inspire me to atleast try to improve my playing ability, and, despite popular opinion, i find Alex's scream to be very satisfying.This Message Edited On 05.07.06

Can we just agree that some people like Atreyu and some don't. That not all people who like them are emo or a scene kid, and that not all people who hate them are stupid and can't make a record of their own?

I liked The Curse t osome extent, but this CD sucks. I downloaded the single, and was disappointed. Oh well. I agree with you guys on BFMV. Awesome band. Atreyu needs to keep stepping it up. Very nice first review...my first one sucked. Lol.

"Pinch harmonics" are artifical harmonic, which can be done by a certain way of picking (find a guitar magazine). "Harmonics" are natural harmonics.

This album sounds even more watered down than the Curse and even less original and interesting. In my opinion, the CD's have been getting worse and worse as they release them. Not the worst thing ever, it just falls even further into a huge sea where everything sounds the same.

I dont know, I think this CD was great!
The songs have great solos and/or riffs
The drumming is great.
Plus, lyrics aren't all that matters.
It kind of seems like thats what you're focusing on in this review
