man this one is killer, but they definitely modernized their sound in the vein of the more atmospheric/dissonant dm bands of today (flourishing, ulcerate, etc). definitely still sounds like gorguts though

I've had this for almost 2 weeks and have been jamming it every day. Right now 2013 comes down to this or new Carcass. Honestly I think I'm liking this better. Would be a 4 except for The Battle of Chamdo and Enemies of Compassion.



You want to build up a track, THAT is the fucking way to do it. So this sits at a 4.5 right now. The only thing I see keeping this from being absolutely stunning is the overly mechanical drumming. The triggers are mixed so bad all I hear is clicking in most songs :
