This record grew on me over time. Level 2 is still better. I wish they at least Tried to incorporate some of the level 1 sound too. Every album is completely different from the last one.

Good take. And ye Cosmos and the Escapist are incredible. It doesn't flow as cohesively or strongly as Lvl2 but there are some real growers here and some really impressive writing if you have the ear for this kind of thing.

Yeah oddly I didn't know it released last month even!
Spotify put it on in my New Releases playlist and I thought "I don't recognize this Contortionist track..."

kinda hate that it's just an EP and we heard 3 of the 4 songs already

Good stuff though. Missed these guys. Makes up for The Contortionist being a complete and utter non-starter (and a Contortionist guitar player being an alt-right neckbeard creepazoid)

Basically they're releasing level 4 piece by piece dropping it on patreon first and then releasing it on streaming. It's not really a proper EP so much as they sectioned off the first 4 singles from Level 4 and called at an EP to get more eyes on it and drum up more money so they can keep releasing songs etc since they're DIY.
