Adam Knott's 3/10 review on byvolume has me concerned. Usually him and I agree on everything...

3/10 is like 1.5/5 there's no way it's that bad lol

I dont see a 1.5 in this nor do I see a 5

It's not always about "these songs are good, these songs are bad" though

he's entitled to his opinion it's a good review but i definitely don't think it's that bad at all. i prolly like it better than chase this light and invented but not as much as the 3 albums before that.

Aside from his slamming of Appreciation and love of I Will Steal You Back I think Knott hits the nail on the head mostly

Futures was the bomb and the other two are also amazing. I still have yet to listen to their second one though

That was a harsh review, I really don't see what makes I Will Steal You Back stand out from the other tracks here, it's mediocre IMO.

sounds like a blast, i'd be down for such a chill day

i'm doing alright, finished my last day of classes before summer vacation (so i just have finals left). i'm actually rather bummed out, i absolutely loved my japanese class and am pretty damn sad that it's over. thus me wanting to get wasted tonight but realizing i need to study which only made me more bummed

toxin. you really should listen to this. jimmy eat world are back to playing jimmy eat world songs. it's as if they never lost their way. chase this light felt like a pop side project. invented felt like an experimental side project. damage feels juuuuuust right. their music is no longer contrived for a particular sound or musical growth. it's just the band doing what they did best back in the early 00's.

does anyone else feel like with invented they thought "hey, let's see how good an album we can make that has as few hooks as possible". i mean, did movielike even have a chorus? i don't think evidence did. only song on that album that sounded like jimmy eat world was littlething. gorgeous, big-sounding song. but even then it had rather cheesy and lazy lyrics in the chorus.
