Yeah he is a pretty phenomenal actor I'll give him that. He's still pretentious as fuck though, and it seems as if his music abilities are pretty permanently down the drain.

Yeah the videos are annoying but even in his music there's just unnecessary experimentation and grandiosity. Like the hawk at the start of Kings and Queens, or the female spoken word vocals etc. it doesn't add anything to the music, it's just irritating.

Debut is great.

Debut is their best one. The other 2 albums were pretentious but they have enjoyable tunes. This sounds like a bad attempt of an album made by the killers.

Pop as fuck, but I haven't listened to 30stm much before. If I had gotten in to this a few years ago, I'd probably hate the album. From a fresh perspective, it has a produced catchiness to it. That's almost never enough to make an album great, but I thought it was somewhat enjoyable. Maybe I'll end up hating it after a few more listens... Who knows.
