Ok Nag, you are probably one of the few who actually has. I know you're into the genre, have reviewed countless amazing albums, and I agree with a lot of stuff you have posted so I respect your opinion.
Cold, Running Backwards, Life Without You, Everything, and The Weight Of The World are pretty good tunes imo.....

Nearly 5 years on this site and I still haven't troll rated anything! I'm such a good citizen.
As for this album, where you seem to hear pretty good tunes, I only hear cheesy, clichéd songs that fail to impress me in any way. 'Queensryche' isn't anywhere near superb for me either, but at least I can thoroughly enjoy it.

Well to each his own. I grew up on the band as they were one of my favorites. For me, there isn't anything wrong with cheesy, cliched songs as long as I like the way they sound. I admit that I have a soft spot for his material (even the later QR that wasn't any good) and can't believe the state of his mind today...

Taking part in high-school fightings over who is better, britney or christina, was never my style. Courts will proceed to the verdict concerning the name and as far as i'm concerned, i don't see why Geoff Tate has no right to the band's name... Other than that, i always judge on what is presented before me and after taking into account, many other factors, except my personal "preferences". Geoff can't sing in high tones anymore. Is this a surprise for anyone? If yes, then he should find a time-capsule and return in 1988. This material could have been better if it wasnt rushed. It is undeniably though, probably the "heaviest" material that Tate sang since "Promised land". "The weight of the world" is a very good song and there are also other positive moments. His voice is always unique and this is sth that every serious listener should take into account. I hope that this court-nonsense will stop soon and both bands will be focused on their song-writing.

Was listening to "Cold". Honestly, Geoffie sounds like he's short on breath. terrible. The guitar
lines are acceptable, but without feeling. The drumming is bland. No bass line to be heard. Well, fuck
this. This is worse than Adrenaline Mobs' latest.

Nah, didn't even bother with the remakes man. I have hopes for the band though, LaTorre's a good singer and I think they can make 1 or 2 dece enough albums down the road.
