Your reviews for vermillion and virus of life were crap. Vermillion is a beautiful song and Vermillion pt 2 is even better. I don't see why you don't like it but whatever. The Virus of Life - how can you say this just isn't slipknot? This is exactly slipknot. They do the weird, creepy sounding **** all the time.

I've downloaded about 6 songs from this album now, and I still can't see how it appeals to any of you.

slipknot is great, and vol. 3 (the subliminal verses) shows it. i don't care what all of you people saying "oh i'm so into hardcore and metal stuff, so i hate this album cuz it's got some acoustic ****" say, it's amazing. i mean, i'm into all of that full-on, in your face metal and hardcore, but slipknot pulls off the mellower stuff extremely well. in my opinon, it kicks the **** out of iowa. i love the way that they can go from a beat the **** out of everyone song like the blister exsists to a melodic, acoustic song. it astounds me. i would definetly recommend this CD. it's great.

are you kidding me?! do you even know who joey jordison is?! you're obviously not listening to slipknot if you think joey is a rip-off of tommy lee! tommy lee sucks, and will never be half as good joey. i'd like to see him go all around the set half as fast as joey. don't waste my time with your bull****.

I am not Slipknot's number one fan but I do like their style, mainly because I like all styles of music...
I like the way how they are influenced by their sideprojects without changing what made them good in the first place: agressive music, which isn't as agressive as it seems if you pay much attention to the meaning behind it (the subliminal verses)... They combined many musical styles to create a great-but-not-perfect record... I'd give them a 4/5 :thumb:

Are you saying that just because you like slipknot that you can't like other great bands? I like many types of metal and slipknot is just one of the many bands that I like.

Well, consider the difference. Led Zeppelin were an excellent band. Amazing guitar, kickass bass, and the best drums in the world. Robert Plant has one of the best voices ever. The lyrics are sweet, and they are just a legend.

Slipknot are a nu-metal band. The guitar is bland, everything else is.. the drums are actually ok, but mixed with the rest of the band, it still sucks. Corey Taylor doesn't exactly have the best growl ever. The lyrics are stupid, and they are far from being a good band.

if you listen to the album go youll be impressed i give the cd two thumbs
the acoustics are also great they give you an idea of how great coreys singing voice can be even though im a metal head i apreciate the acoustics and the solos are great
it goes to show all the people who said the jim and mick werent good guitar players
