i do believe it's mostly homogeneous tho, the consumption of reggaeton and m popular across the country, so you're not missing out lol
Dude, it was insufferable, I'd rather hear nickelback or imagine dragons than hear fuckin maluma, j balvin or daddy yankee. Anyways like I said, I could tolerate that due to the fact that bogota had a very decent amount of concerts, hell I even could saw the dillinger escape plan and dream theater when I was in bogota

At first they are funny but after hearin that crap like 100 times while you are working or shopping in a Colombian mall the whole thing is just insufferable
Anyways I think we should talk more about jane's addiction, talking about mierdaton in this thread is fuckin insulting to perry farrell and dave navarro

Well, regardless of the existance of that shitty genre. Latin america has very good rock music, punk, alternative and good metal if you like melodic power metal and heavy metal. The only thing is that sometimes you need to go deeper to find some of those groups. When I was in latin america I heard a lot bands like 2 minutos, aterciopelados, catupecu machu, avalanch, stravaganzza, warcry, caifanes, vetusta morla, heroes del silencio, old school mago de oz and of course soda stereo and los prisioneros

Then she said, stop, zero, tales of a scorched earth are alt metal masterpieces, remember those tracks cuz while I was digging 90s music those were among my favorites

Yeah I'm from Argentina and I'm actually proud of our bands, have you listen santos inocentes? they are AWESOME
|
| |
No tbh. I've heard ataque 77, rata blanca, los caligaris, los pericos, bersuit vergarabat, andres calamaro, los autenticos decadentes and los fabulosos . Maybe I will check out sooner because Argentina has a vast amount of good rock

Yeah just ignore what it's called "rock barrial" or "rock stone" because it's one of the worst things in our country in terms of rock genres.
|
| |
Yeah I've heard of the existance of those bands which main purpouse is to imitate the rolling stones. They suck donkey dalls but still is not the worst thing of argentina, cumbia villera makes me wanna puke

cumbia villera is the worst thing ever, agreed

Album Rating: 4.5
Cumbia villera born thanks to the increasing poverty in our country and took the worst elements of music plus the prototype of lyrics that the reggaeton would later make "popular"
|
| |
The biggest problem with cumbia villera was that when I was in argentinan night club the dj of that night made a remix of welcome to the jungle and in the end with cumbia villera. I almost killed the dj that night

And you haven't heard that song in the "cuarteto" genre
|
| |
Sorry I was just 7 days in argentina and the nightclub that played those atrocious remixes just played EDM and cumbia villera, and when I was in argentina I didn't listen to the radio, just the playlist of my friend which were mainly argetinian rock and classic rock. Only heard that in that genre they made a song for Maradona

Yeah the singer is called Rodrigo, just like me and it's from the same province as I am (Cordoba), he was the maximum exponent in the genre. Sadly he died in a car crash.
