Let's be honest Godspeed's first 3 records were the pinnacle of music

Just jammed this for the first time. It's definitely got some major flaws compared to the other version -- more than a few transitions and crescendos are awkward and clunky -- but it still rules nonetheless.

Yeah, not a single aspect on why would anyone prefer this version tbh

The fact that the original crescendo in East Hastings isn't on here made me want to cry.

It is like an abridged version, which makes sense since the album is certainly long and with many moments that are rather "ambiental"

But the thing is this version cuts some of the coolest moments, so it just doesn't work

I agree completely dude. I actually didn't know that this was a different version of the album when I bought it. I'm really glad that I ended up getting to hear this variation though.

just heard this album for the first time after listening to the CD version for a few years... agree the arrangements and overall composition is better on the CD (more Godspeed from this era is never a bad thing to me) but the production/sound/fidelity on the vinyl is just sooooo much more lush and engaging. might return to the vinyl just for the more immersive soundscape despite the fact that the CD has better "music"
