I agree with the review. I certainly don't understand why people like this less than Lateralus and Aenima. Vicarious is also my favorite song by them... why no love? :3



Also, most of Maynards's songs are about his mother (in case nobody really knew). Prison Sex blames her in portions, etc, etc, and even A Perfect Circle (Judith especially).

because this album sounds really watered down compared to their other releases, it also drags on too long in many parts.

The 6 real songs on here are top notch Tool. "Filler": Lipan Conjuring is pretty useless, Viginti Tres is fine I guess, Lost Keys is serviceable, 10,000 days part 1 is serviceable, and Intension is cool. Having almost every other song drag/be a weird interlude definitely lowers it a few pegs, but the rest of the songs are so great it really doesn't warrant any lower than a 4 for me
