I definitely think a sense of cosmic awe and terror in the face of the divine is being communicated by Sanders along with the ecstatic jubilation, especially once The Creator Has A Master Plan begins to turn and dip into dissonant screeching about halfway through.

He was one of the greatest to ever do it. Just listened to his album with Floating Points again, god damn what a way to go out. Been waiting to pull the trigger on the Pharoah box set that got released earlier this year, might have to do that with my Xmas bonus if there’s any left

I bet Coltrane jammed this a lot before making Om. This is (slightly) less unhinged but has some of that spiritual energy / flava



reminiscent in many ways, and I understand the ^ terrifying take even tho I wouldn't quite go that far
