that sounds like some haughty critic bs. their old sound was good but also a confused mixture of aggressive and softer songs. this to me is a much more consistent album, and i like how the vocals are sunken and pushed behind the music at times, i think it gives it a really lovely atmosphere. and still it's somehow insanely catchy, despite being very slow compared to their first two.

yeah their older stuff was a bit convoluted but I actually feel it worked, even as far as how the albums as a whole were
concerned, and it made them hella fun albums to listen to. I tried and tried to break through to this but I still can't get
really any enjoyment out of it =/

i was drawn to their first album because of songs like vanished and crimewave tbh. i know most people liked alice practice most but idk, just sounds like glitch nonsense to me =/

vanished and crimewave are so great but to me CC is everything that first album is made up of, those smooth chilled dance beats and the noise rock influenced nintendo jams haha

Random, but Crimewave live was quite awesome. If I'm not mistaken I think on the album version the vocals are a direct
sample of the Health song, but when they preform it live Alice actually sings it and it is way cool.
