I think this album is extremely overrated.



One of my favourite Pink Floyd songs is 'Wish You Were Here'. I'm not too keen on the other stuff on this album.



'Have a Cigar' is shit in my opinion - the only good thing is the guitar solo.



'Welcome to the Machine' is just freaky... and droning



I love Pink Floyd but this album doesn't at all do it for me.

pink floyd is a really good band, not just necessairely the chorus all though those are done very wel, but the lyrics are put together in a way the listener can relate, and is'nt that the effect youd want a song to have no someone after writing it?

my opinion is that this entire album sucks..

good review, except David Gilmour sang 'Welcome to the Machine' and 'Wish You Were Here.' They had a guest vocalist (Roy Harper I think) on 'Have A Cigar.'
