i find it funny that when someone reviewed the swans album they compared it to godspeed, and everyone had a go saying that it was a lazy comparison that wasn't accurate. now a godspeed album comes out and everyone is comparing it to swans. was totally justified in the seer review and is still justified now.

Swans influenced them, that might have something to do with it. Gira isn't much of a fan of bands that have been influenced by him, in one interview I think he said that most of them suck shit.
