yea but even with death metal I am quite picky, I haven't been into the genre for too long. I lean mostly towards old school technical death metal or progressive death metal.
I agree though, cross-genre bands would probably be the easiest way for me to get into it. I'll check out Cobalt, idk I'm in no rush to get my black belt in black metal though.

I like this band because they are easy for the black metal retarded to listen to.
This is one of the weirdest bands in the genre. This album and Memoria Vetusta II aside, most of their stuff is really odd and not things I'd recommend to BM newbs.

Just listened to second track to see what the fuss was all about, the spoken word's part has a peculiar diction but other than that I thought it sounded pretty good, especially in the second half
