Album is good, quite bloated in some places though.
Those vox took a while for me to 'appreciate' them, they are average but the riffs are decent.

Still can't TOO into the vocals, I'm one of those assholes who misses Lord Worm with every new Cryptopsy album, even though DiSalvio wasn't too bad. Yeah, the vocals aren't the worst thing ever on this album (like they were on The Unspoken King) but still kinda whatever.
As for everything else, no it's not None So Vile, but nothing is going to be None So Vile. This is still awesome IMO, has enough sick riffs and jazzy sections to keep me interested.

I think DiSalvio was actually really, really good. This new guy isn't as awful as a lot of people say, but he still isn't anything great. I just feel like this is a really boring album. Doesn't do anything for me at all.

i liked disalvo on whisper supremacy but and then youll beg probably has the worst vocals on any cryptopsy album. the vocals here arent that bad imo

Yeah I definitely don't hate the vocals on this album. It's just the fact that I feel like Cryptopsy is just another shitty modernized death metal band nowadays. I just don't think this album goes anywhere.

Still think the worst vocals were on The Unspoken King, but yeah DiSalvio was WAY better on Whisper Supremacy.
And thats respectable, Hawks-I think most people feel that way at least out of the people I've talked to

i kinda like that about the album actually, that it doesnt really have a goal and its just straight up tech death riffage but i can understand why people dont like it.

I can dig this album.

"its just straight up tech death riffage "
Well in my opinion the album has pretty solid song structures. Shag Harbour's Visitors is a fine example.

Cryptopsy used to stand out though and that's why I loved them. With this album it feels like they're just another dm band in the crowd and that's why I don't like it.

riff wise they kinda fit into the crowd but i really like the melodic stuff they have going on like the jazz parts in red skinned scapegoat and some riffs are really catchy like the one in two-pound torch. that stuff kinda separates them from the pack imo

True, there are a few things that are missing on this album which makes Cryptopsy Cryptopsy
The lyrics are quite poor compared to Lord Worm
No sense of terror, just technicality
The vocals are not very unique
Still can't help enjoying the fuck out of this album though. This is not Cryptopsy's best, but as far as techdeath goes in general this is pretty fantastic.
