im not a drummer but most of the drums on in flames recent stuff has always come across as really impressive to me. i think the fact that bjorn (a guitarist, primarily) was originally on drums, held back some of the early songs a little. his drums were good, but imagine how much more amazing they'd have been with daniel's drum fills thrown in.

What the F**K are all you people talking about this album is awful. I find it funny that you say in the review that you dislike the use of "atmospheric synth sounds" and yet, that is all this album is, yes the guitar work is a little better than Soundtrack's but this album is just as bad as it and Reroute, anybody who gave this album more than a 2, has to start listening to some real metal. In Flames made 5 spectacular metal albums, but sadly, that time has passed, no all we have is this crappy Electronic Nu-Metal, and I for one am getting damn tired of it. My advice to you who actually like this album is to stop listening to metal all together until you know what true metal is, because metal for the most part these days, is dead, all there is know is double kicks and power chords, so do yourself a favor and stop listening to new metal because it just not good any more.

Superfly must be listening to a different band. In Flames have never put out anythign less than a 4 star album as far as I'm concerned, I even liked STYO.
Ooh, ahh, the occassional keyboard blurp or sample, wow, gee, they're just not troo metal anymore I guess.
I'm a nice guy, and I try not to offend people around here, but Superfly, as far as I'm concerned you can just fuck off and die.

I've said it many times, and I'm gonna keep saying it until all the noobs and tards out there get the message. Listen closely now:
In Flames are gods. Do not fuck with this band.
Coheed? Great band, but not metal. BTBAM? Great stuff, but not something I put on when I want to rock out and feel like taking on the world, which is the effect pretty much any In Flames album has on me.
The fact remains that this is a collection of fast, kick-ass, well-written metal, with just the right balance between heaviness and melody.
I'll put it this way: Who do you think would win in a fight, In Flames or Protest The fucking Hero?
