Yeah same, it destroys whatever flow that was left.

The story about the spider bites was amusing the first time but yeah probably gonna edit all the chatter out of my files. It does affect the flow a bit but the track sequencing affects it way more IMO. Not sure they thought it through very well

It works on an album like surfer rosa cuz the style of that album was not giving a fuck and it worked but it really doesn't work for bloc party

bloc party are at their best when they right tender love songs and post punky complex guitar tunes and not this shit

I like that they explore new things with every album, rather than just trying to make Silent Alarm 2. They don't always hit the mark, but man when they do they fucking nail it. The heavy riff tracks on this are some of their best songs ever.
