yeah ive been slowly working through his discog this week. definitely patchy but its been worthwhile for sure. the run from hip hop is dead through this is pretty solid (although untitled has a few major valleys in the third act lol)

for me it goes: illmatic, life is good, it was written, kings disease 2. those are the juciest ones in that order. that's a lot of music to consume by him on your end though lol.. big catalogue to say the least. oddly enough I haven't listened to hip hop is dead

im not a big fan of stillmatic honestly, few okay tracks but it mostly leaves me cold. i lean towards gods son a lot more even tho that album takes a hard dip from zone out to i can lol

edit: lmao misread illmatic as stillmatic somehow my bad. yea it was written rules, the run from i gave you power through affirmative action is so good

You're in for a treat with his Hit-Boy albums, some of his best work (especially Magic and King's Disease III). Also check out the first Lost Tapes album if you haven't already, another Nas classic.

Yeah the latest releases are all great. Maybe the first King's Disease a little less so.

This one is definitely top-tier Nas. Funny thing is that he followed up with Nasir which is complete let-down. Otherwise pretty consistent late in his career.

Saw Nas play almost 2 hours main stage Bonnaroo when he was touring for this. One of my most cherished memories. He even played Purple!
