I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I've listened to this three times now and I was totally captivated, especially the second and third time. I actually read along with the lyrics the second time through and it amplified the effect of the album tenfold. As ridiculous as this sounds, I'm actually kind of afraid to keep listening to it haha... I'm worried at how it will age with repeated listens and I don't want to lose the feeling I had the first few times. At this point I can definitely see this hitting a 5, but it entirely depends on how it stands up to repeated listens.
Also, does his vocals remind anyone else of Toby Driver's soft vocals from Bath? There were a couple instances where my mind when straight to Toby Driver, especially during the entrance of the vocals in the second song. (BTW I totally agree about the first three songs being one of the strongest openers ever... and also that the song order of the album is absolutely crucial and that spreading out those songs would change the effect of the album).

^I haven't listened to this in awhile but I think I can make the Toby connection from memory. Can't think of what song I'm thinking of right now off this but I can see it. I need to re-listen to this in full I love parts of this too much to not love the whole thing like some other people do.
Nice zdzislaw btw.

Nice zdzislaw btw.
Haha thanks, yeah he's one of my favorite artists... really unique.
And yeah although I haven't listened to this as much as you guys have, I can tell that this is one of those CDs that kinda requires a full listen to appreciate. With the exception of the first three songs, most of the tracks on the album are really more like building blocks rather than stand-alone pieces. On their own, they don't hold much power and seem simplistic but when listened to in order one by one, it creates such an awesome journey. I think that's a testament to really good album writing as opposed to song writing. This album would probably sound like a disjointed mess on shuffle but it works perfectly in the correct progression. I really hope it stays this good through multiple listens.
