Amazing album, probably their best so far. Although if the Mother, the Mechanic and the Path were separate albums then the Path >>>>

So last night...

First on were 'A Great Big Pile of Leaves' from NY. They sounded good, very influenced by The Strokes. Hit song 'little fish gone swimming' went down well. 7/10

Main support was ' You Blew It' from Orlando. Couple of decent songs, but nothing special 6/10

TEN were awesome!! Ace said he had a croaky throat but sounded great to me. They played Digital Age, but with more guitar and other instruments, not as striped back as the album version. Lots of old songs from Rooms Too Cold and a couple of new songs. The new songs are sooooo good, Ace really belted them out and gave his all. 9/10

A girl I liked a long time ago tried to get me into these guys but I never got hooked. They seemed too whiny, and that's coming from someone who adores Yellowcard. Was I wrong to dismiss them?

yes

This Room's Too Cold is like the pinnacle of classic whiny emo (if you don't like Ever So Sweet idk about you Sowing)

The Mother, The Mechanic, The Path is like some progressive concept album emo shit, I don't even know what half of it's about but the other half is pretty fucking golden and there's some jams there too

this is just jams out the wazoo, modern-sounding emo which is sufficiently raw enough to pay tribute to the past and new enough to push the sound forward
