Hell yeah Titan... I've noticed that. We're from the same era so this rings bells y'know? 80's and joking aside I still think this is a great album. It's too damn memorable.. I still have this cd in a 4 disk rotator in my car (It's gotta be atleast 15 years old) One of the better ones from that era and glam was never my favorite thing, I don't think this is a glammy as some of the other ones like ratt or poison.

Same era here. They still were pretty alive in Dr. Feelgood. After that I haven't heard anything from them, but hell they are/were a funny bunch.

after feelgood, they were worthy of a catchy single here and there such as Afraid, Bitter Pill, Enslaved, If I Die Tomorrow, and Sick Love Song

"motley crue is not as glammy as some of the others"
Aside from their image, they really only had two overtly glammy albums, Theatre of Pain and Dr. Feelgood. First album was more of a hard rock/punk/pop thing, this is basically just a trad metal album with some sleazy lyrics, and Girls, Girls, Girls, was bit grittier and bluesier. I guess you could consider New Tattoo and Saints of Los Angeles to be "glam" metal as well, but they're more just hard rock imo.

that overall rating for Theatre Of Pain is an absolute travesty....album slays hard and is heavy as shit, mostly because of the tuning of Mick's guitar......louder than hell and save our souls go so hard and home sweet home may be my favorite ballad ever

Agreed, I really like that album as well. It has some of their most underrated songs. I love Use it or Lose It and Tonight.

Tonight is incredible, really enjoy that crunching riff underneath the 'organ' at the halfway point....really enjoy Fight For Your Rights as well......hard nostalgia

I agree with that sentiment.. they were great up to feel good, but they did still have a collection of singles that were solid afterwards. And yeah dude theater of pain was the shit, not sure why that so low on here.
