I do feel the review was a little disrespectful

Disrespectful towards Varg? Tell me it's a joke please.

Yeah, seriously. Appeasement politics forevarrrr. Though I love how Chamberlain was like "hey, let's talk to Hitler he's probably a cool cat!" in 1938.

He was being ironic towards someone saying we should respect Varg. Bit godwin's law-ish but the analogy wasn't contextually bad.

So am I the only one here who actually enjoyed this album? I think It's his best release post-prison so far.

It's kinda hard for me to explain but I think I understand how Varg wanted this album to be interpreted, or maybe It's just the fact that I'm Finnish and understand his rustic music better as a fellow Nordic citizen. The album is incredibly atmospheric and really takes me back to pagan-era Norway - and I especially liked the spoken word bits. There's also kind of a "Middle-Earth" feel to it as well which I liked. All in all I'd probably give this album a solid 8/10. Should probably write up my own review if I have the time.
