This album isn't that great. 'King Nothing' is fantastic though.

Still after 14 yeras better than the majority of the stuff that comes out under the ROCK music moniker. But it's not Metallica , it's more Rockallica or something more like a side project of theirs. They spent a whole decade doing rock projects and i don't blame them 'cause they didn't make shit. We all love ROCK music, don't we?

Alternica you mean?

Regardless, this album is criminally underrated. I like it a little more than ReLoad, but to be honest, they should have just trimmed the fat off each record and just made one awesome Alternica album.

I agree with the songs Hitman listed, but I actually think Ronnie fucking rocks. Also became a lot creepier after Columbine happened a few years later. I guess Pearl Jam did it first though...

ReLoad has all the good ones IMO. Unforgiven 2, The Memory Remains, Fixxxer, Fixxxer again for good measure... yeah. Outlaw Torn is okay here, but that's about it.

Anyone else get a real Use Your Illusion vibe from these albums?

yeah, definitely. I think the Use Your Illusions as well as Deliverance by Corrosion of Conformity (as admitted by Metallica actually) were the inspiration for Load/ReLoad.

Fixxxer is the best song of the 2 albums in my opinion, but I think overall Load has more good songs -- Wasting My Hate, House that Jack Built, Until It Sleeps, Bleeding Me, Ronnie (those are the ones I like) whereas ReLoad only has Memory Remains, Unforgiven II, Fixxxer as truly great songs IMO. Slither, Carpe Diem Baby, Prince Charming and Attitude are all ok, but not great to me.

The songs from Reload sound like b-sides from this record

Yeah and post-Load Metallica suck immensely

Death Magnetic is awesome dude, my favorite 'Tallica album since Puppets probably. This, Black Album and Justice are all really close, but I have to say I like DM more than them.

I thought DM was great after the first few listens but it eventually wore off... 3-4 tracks I can stand but that´s it

But Im pleased to see that you rate Load so high in their discography, not many people do (I feel sorry for them)

I used to rank Load as my 3rd favorite behind Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning, but recently I've been favoring the black album and obviously DM. There's not really one song on DM that I don't like, but I think My Apocolypse, The Judas Kiss and Suicide & Redemption are the weakest songs. Still good, just not as good as the rest (IMO).

I absolutely agree with those three

I quite enjoyed The Day That Never Comes but it´s such a ripoff of some of their other songs that its not even funny... nowadays the only song I can listen to all the way through is Broken, Beat & Scarred but I haven´t listened to Metallica in months

but BB&S has the most insanely bone-headed Hetfield lyrics EVER!

"what don't kill ya, make ya more strong!"

if that's not a reason to love that song, then I dunno what is. That main riff is just killer too.

Yup. Lots of fun to blast that on full bass (especially during the jam section... mother fuck) and send the R&B and hip-hop fans running for the hills.

'Tis a favorite hobby of mine, if you couldn't tell.
