having only listened to/liked choir of the eye and part the second, i have to say i dont like this. not an expert in the field, but this seems so dissonant and no instruments actually come together to form something cohesive. the horns are literally all over the place playing whatever note they feel like, and the drums are...[]

not trolling, i legitimately think they have lost their way with music. will d/l more newer material to compare.

I'm pretty much okay with Driver doing whatever the fuck he wants to, he's already accumulated enough awesome for a lifetime. this is great regardless though.

never really sat down to listen to BLD or coyote but I like what I've heard from them. obviously not as good as the bath/lybm/pts/choirs era but not much is.

I never got into BLD but Coyote did grow on me.

It's difficult for me to think of Bath and Leaving Your Body Map as separate albums now, especially with the secret song linking them. I pretty much just consider the two of them together as my favorite album ever.

i dunno, it's like, motW doesn't really offer the sort of immersive atmosphere that i love about Kayo Dot's music.

definitely.

its like, i could criticize Bath for feeling like its disjointed, but the same thing could be said for BLD and i'd consider it a plus.
