That was my thinking as well. It felt more like a demo than a finished product. But it still had something about it overall that I just didn't jive with.

words can't capture how much that means to me. it makes me tear up to think he's the one that's gone now and I'm the one who's hoping spirit 'is doing well wherever he is'. spirit is my inspiration

This comment blew my mind. The reception to Blood Moon and it's production wasn't what I expected so I didn't listen to it once in those almost 10 years. Now with the anniversary and this comment everything has come full circle and I love the album for all it's weirdness, even if I'll never make something like it again because it's sad af imo. It's actually some of my best work I think. To think that spirit could recognize the uniqueness and originality of it and actually liked it more for that is so fulfilling. I should have just read this back in 2015 it would have made me feel so much better

I appreciate that too. The snowy photo is a pic my mom took in the 70's. I layered the edge instead of keeping the original border the image had. I went through about 10 variations and landed on this one. This soundoff comment 'Tame Impala called, they want their cover back.' is a joke but I had never heard of that band at the time and everything about my cover was an original idea. it's literally a coincidence and honestly this cover kicks that ones ass anyways.
