I think this was the first album release I ever actively anticipated. Good times. I eventually soured on it but it’s probably better than my current rating suggests.

Hurts Like Heaven sounds so aggressively nostalgic to me. Just cute pop rock with a gazey touch
I also find Paradise way more evocative than I should (?)

Yeah those opening few notes on Paradise really bring me back a few years. Chorus can get a bit irritating though but I do have a soft spot for that song.

God if i could listen to this at my dentist that would be great, they play the most god awful pandora station and even if you turn the volume down in the room you’re in you can hear it coming from all the nearby rooms. Dentist office more like torture chamber i tell ya
