I dont feel any grit in this tho, at least the Only Ones had, like I said, charm.
Real grit is in traditional punk this stuff to me is vacuous and harmless.

@menawati, who's your favorite prog band?

I'm trying to get into the genre and all I've really heard is Rush, Camel, King Crimson, and now Genesis.

I dunno Only Ones were power pop i think, maybe early pop-punk or punk with a poppy edge. Whatever.

Power pop seems to at least have some more varied/intricate arrangements, if people like Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe count.

But it seems forced doesnt it andcas ? i mean when u listen to real punk a lot of those guys really had something to say and it was a big reaction against the establishment (the establishment being the currently accepted overblown musical forms and the government at the time). The guys in that vid arent reacting much against anything.
