I think, blink fans can't assess this properly due to their fanboyism. this has some horrible cookie cutter pop shit in here that should make people cringe and curl up into a little meat ball.

it does have its moments, but fuuuuuuuuark son are Up All Night, After Midnight, LOVE IS DANGEROUS, Fighting THE Gravity (though it has its moments). probably some more I just don't want to remember now. it was okay to like them when you were little kids and maybe reminisce this as big part of your first kiss/boner/fap or whatever, but c'mon.

I really liked this CD. It just has to grow on you. There's no way you can properly rate this after just 1 listen.

I agree with a lot of what's put forward by this review, however I enjoy this album much more than the rating I would give it (around a 3). The moments when that Blink-182 feeling shines through are worth the 8-year wait.

This album sounds like middle age.

And that's a bad thing? People grow up. They mature. They make different music. That's life.

it's a bad thing because music that sounds like somebody in their middle ages tends to be wack

To people in their 20s and early 30s, sure. But Bob Dylan is like 100 years old and fuck if he hasn't made several darn good albums since hitting his middle age years. Not all "middle aged" music is bad, it's just...you know, not for people in their 20s most of the time. Atleast not those who are looking for more vibrant and in-your-face music as opposed to the quiet introspection that tends to come with middle age. Don't be an ageist now! That's a thing, right? Ageism? Since Firefox spellcheck says that I spelled that correctly I guess it is.

Album doesn't even come close to touching Self Titled. This seems pretty in-cohesive comparably, like they didn't really come together as a band.

For sure. Travis sounds like he's not even playing along to the songs at some points.

this surely could have benefited from a little direction. Suffers similar plagues that made Decemberunderground and Chinese Democracy the trainwrecks they were. The track listing, the almost-random fill-in-the-blank riff selection, make this an uneasy listen start to finish. It has its moments, but it's not very well concentrated.
