Fans will be divided over which of this & predecessor 'The Upsides' is superior, but The Wonder Years' 3rd LP 'Suburbia: I’ve Given You All and Now I’m Nothing' wins out due to Dan Campbell's improved vocals & an increased sense of songwriting cohesiveness. The sextet are still not breaking new ground, have issues with versatility & could do with a home-run hit, yet the growth evident here is noteworthy. Mike Kennedy's impeccable drumming adds to the energetic sing-alongs, but it is the personal & relatable lyrics which are the LP's centrepiece. Recommended Tracks: My Life As a Pigeon, Don't Let Me Cave In, Local Man Ruins Everything & Came Out Swinging.
