It's a pretty decent affair. Kode9 kills it of course and I like the Shabazz Palaces one as well. However, it's no TKOL RMX...

i like it better than TKOL RMX in that i can actually see myself revisiting it in full listens. TKOL RMX was a grab bag of (mostly) excellent tracks that unfortunately was a drag to listen to in full.

^ Yeah, I get what you mean, but the fact that practically all of TKOL's tracks are better than these, make me wanna revisit it more. Usually one disc at a time though.

quality-wise, i'd say they're about even. i mean, i have both albums at a 4 on here, i love both of them, but DG just gets a slightly edge over TKOLRMX in my book just because of how concise it is.

I've really tried to like this album, but then when it's over it segues right into Race: In and I'm reminded of how much better Mirrored is compared to this. It's pretty incredible how one person can change a band drastically to the point where they don't play songs they used to because they can. What a shitty sentence. Whatever.

nah it got lots of backlash when it came out (including me). The songs grew on me though.

well one thing im definitely noticing is that it gets better in the second half. the first few tracks are so scattershot, damn.

and yeh my cereal tasted weird, but i embraced it because it was Fruity Loops
