is sniper my british doppelganger or am I missing something else?

and idk I just find his songwriting mediocre and pompous and the whole thing just hits me as generally tepid, with a few shining moments.

This is irrelevant, I know, but I'm not English and over the past day I have grown to enjoy this much more

This would be a 5 if there weren't a couple songs like I Still Believe. Sounds so forced. You can tell when words are coming from his heart - see I Am Disappeared and redemption.

All those forced 'rousing', 'hopeful' tunes just seem to be written for angsty people my age to idolize phrases about 'making an impact' and all that. I just don't feel like he means them.

The rest of this is really powerful though. Definitely his best album
