I asked them on Facebook if they would maintain their black metal sound given a lot of their peers have kind of diversified their sound over the years and they said the do following:
I would say that it will be as black metal as any of our past music. We have always straddled between the realms of metal and folk and this album will be no different. Though i would say that some of the songs are more "black metal" than most of the songs on our previous albums while others may seem more influenced by genres outside of that realm, with a good dose of folk thrown in the mix. We write what feels right and flows from our hearts and could honestly care less about genre it may fall into. We make music for ourselves as an expression of how we feel about the state of the world as well as our own personal journeys through the strange labyrinth of life and it is created naturally without any forethought as far as the actual music goes. Sorry for the long winded answer but I thought that it was an interesting question.
