i have always felt really tempted to review this album but i hesitate at the thought of not liking it as much after doing so. and i don't ever want this album to not mean as much to me as it does

I've thought many times of reviewing The Gaslight Anthem's '59 Sound but I don't think I can do it justice so I don't. But no I haven't had that worry, you probably won't lose your interest man.

mixtape: I suppose it depends how you review it. If you take an objective approach so as to give a 'fair' judgment on it, you may find that you feel silly to place emotional value on it above its supposed objective value as an artistic expression. Alternatively, you might choose to review it as you experience it, and highlight the aspects that resonate with you most personally, and forsake a more reputable or unbiased perspective.
I just write shit how I feel and leave it at that.

Absolutely love this album but I couldn't agree more with XingKing. These guys were terrible live and it really pissed me off. I had talked them up to my friends and it was a bummer. O'Brother and Circa sandwiched them with excellence though.
I can't really explain what makes them terrible live- its like they want to be this dark heavy band but totally lack the stage presence to pull it off.
