Hell yeah m/
I saw them post on Instagram, someone asking about the new album and they said "sooner than you think". I wonder what the hold up is 'cause it's been at least two years since that teaser but I can't wait.

nice, dude I've been jamming this so hard on my commutes lately. This album seriously rips and probably doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I've never heard anything else by them though

This def deserves more recognition. Their other albums slay too, especially Pray.
To Dust is pretty sweet too, especially for a comeback album.

Finally checking this. Quite solid. Not really sure if it distinguishes itself from the many other similar sounding records from the early 90s

Glad you dig it. Personally, I've always found this one to stand out especially because of how well it is executed. It's not entirely original by any stretch, but at the same time it doesn't really sound exactly like other death/thrash records. It sounds similar to some for sure, esp. stuff like MC, just not identical. I think Rob's vocals help give this a unique sound too, I love his approach.

I've recently listened to early Malevolent Creation, Monstrosity, and Morgoth, and I'd say all bear resemblances. Plenty others probably, but those are my most recent

Monstrosity is a solid comparison dude, Millennium is my jam, but I've never heard Morgoth, gonna have to find and jam.

All those bands rule, especially MC and Monstrosity. Monstrosity has a crazy good discog, even their newest record is awesome. Morgoth is cool too, haven't jammed in a while though.
There's definitely similarities between this and MC/Monstrosity but a good bit of differences as well. There's other bands that are similar to this, just nothing that really sounds exactly like it. Of course, I'm not saying they created a whole new genre or something, just that they have a fairly distinctive approach to death/thrash. Their sound is def recognizable.
E: Realized you were responding to him and not my comment. For other stuff that is similar, check Opprobrium - Beyond the Unknown/Serpent Temptation and Thanatos - Realm of Ecstasy/Emerging From the Netherworlds if you haven't. Essential death/thrash albums. Both bands have solid discogs all around too but def prioritize those records.

Damn Monstrosity.....
Agreed: They are the kings of consistency. Every single album rips hard.
They have a way more technical and varied approach compared to this. Less pummeling, more sutle, relaying especially on great drums and guitars that are less riffs-only than this one. putting in more twisted melodies and soloing...
Another band that is actually close to this one is Demolition Hammer, those guys fucking slay!!!
